Topic: Screen tearing in dod

Ey all,

Since i got my new compo, i'm having lot of tearing the middle of the screen. Its very difficult to take screens from it but it like the lower part of the screen shifts a to the left. The screen is fixed at 60 Mhz and the native resolution is 2100xsomthing..

I got a powercolor ati radeon 5850. Could it be vsync issues? If so, i already tried forcing vsync on the graphics drivers but at no luck.

I saw on other forums that they recommend to turn Vsync OFF ...

Might be a longshot but have you tried updating gfx card etc? Also try other CFG's maybe it's some random setting with memory in your current one. I saw that it could also do something about it?

thanks... already upgraded the drivers but i think its sth to do with the speed of my gfx card and my screen refresh but oh well.. already got more or less used to it..so..

I did but ermm.. now back to the laptop smile Nah.. i changed the resolution of the monitor to 800x600 and the tearing seems to be less or at least not in the mid of the screen...Going to play a bit like this and see if its playable or not...

but tbh, understand **** of that second solution with the gfx card etc big_smile
